Rapid-Fire Q&A: David Padgett, Our New Vice President of Sales, North and Southeast Asia

Today, we are pleased to introduce you to the latest Anaplan DISRUPTOR –David Padgett.

David is based out of Anaplan’s Singapore office, and he manages sales across the North Asia and Southeast Asia regions. David’s focus is Singapore, but he’ll also be working with companies looking for a cloud-based planning platform in the Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Greater China.

We had a chance to catch up with David last week when he visited our San Francisco office. He shared his thoughts on what joining Anaplan means to him and how he intends to spread our Disruption to others.

1.In one word, how would you describe Anaplan?

Empowering.

2. How is Anaplan a disruptor?

ANAPLAN is a game changer in the market – it is empowering users and raising their expectations of “more value in less time”, a compelling proposition our competition simply cannot match.

3. What most excites you about Anaplan?

Energy – the energy of the Anaplan team, our partners and (or course) our clients who are all aligned to a common goal of working smarter and without compromise!

4. Why is the market ready for a shift?

The traditional software and services market has become content with mediocre results, long projects and questionable ROI. Customers need accuracy and agility, so our high performing “in memory” solutions delivered with the convenience and cost effectiveness of the cloud is exactly what customers are demanding.

5. Why are you a disruptor?

I enjoy change and I am always looking to continually improve what we do and how we do it. A well-worn quote, but “change is the only constant” is my mantra.

6. Who is your favorite superhero?

Superman – aside the tights, could it really be anyone else?

7. You have a teleporter that can travel to any time, anywhere – so, where to?

Ancient Egypt – they knew things back then, which we have since forgotten!

8. Is the book always better than the movie?

The book is normally better than the movie as your imagination can uniquely fill in the gaps and add to the story.

9. Sun or snow?

Living in Asia it is mostly Sun, but having spent this New Year in Sweden Snowboarding again (after 3 years), it is a tough call to make.

10. What is playing on your iPod right now?

Maroon 5 plus some 80’s classics!
