Hi all. New here but not new to Anaplan. I've been here nearly 9 years. I'm joining this forum to help out and spread knowledge. Will help create some content and articles - any suggestions, what do you need here as model contributors? Let me know what you need and what you want to see... Post your questions, there are no stupid questions. I built my career asking stupid questions, it's the only way to learn. It only feels "stupid" because you're challenging yourself, learning from experts. Just wanted to say hi and I hope to be spending a lot more time here...

In Anaplan model building, we have to make sure that the four cornerstones (model, data, business process, and deployment) during every phase are addressed. All of them are equally crucial for the success of the project. I think that, in a way, model building is like drum playing. As drummers are able to move both arms and legs at the same time and yet can manage all of their limbs independently, we have to consider the four aspects of the connected planning at the same time, yet manage each one of them independently. We have to think about all four simultaneously: model, data, process, and deployment. Although they take up different amounts of time in the model building process, ignoring any of them during any phase of the Anaplan implementation will result in going back and restructuring the entire solution again. Hi Model Contributors, I just read a really interesting Community blog post by @AntonS where he outlined seven benefits of model building within the Anaplan platform (spoilers: #5 covers the benefit of using standard Time and Versions compared to custom alternatives). I thought this would be a useful review for less active or experienced Model Contributors who enjoy dipping their toes in the world of model building without yet fully jumping in all the way to become a Certified Model Builder. I'm interested to see if anybody else can relate to Anton's seven benefits, and if there are any others that this group might think would be specifically useful for Model Contributors. What do you think?
