This model from Spaulding Ridge will change the way you launch, setup, and maintain hierarchies in Anaplan. The hierarchy wizard applies best practices to hierarchy building that speeds up the process of generating multi-level relationships, reduces limitations caused by bad data, and streamlines data communication between IT and the business owners.
Click a button to generate a standard hierarchy load template. Use this for all data requests, and work with your IT team to populate names and codes for all relationships up the hierarchy.
Determine which hierarchies you would like to build, and assign the names and levels. Anaplan will run actions and processes based on the way that you assign your hierarchy groupings. You can later change the names of the default hierarchies, but the logic will still execute flawlessly.
Save time going back and forth with your IT team by auto-balancing a ragged hierarchy. It is best practice for planning and for model design to balance out hierarchies and generate all levels necessary up and down the hierarchy so that no data is orphaned or inappropriately parented. This saves you valuable time building and testing, and makes all your actions run smoothly and correctly.
