See mappings for file imports

Hello,

I constantly run into the same issue and I'm hoping that someone can help suggest a solution. When I create an action that imports from a csv file into a list or module, I always find it difficult to re-open up that import action and revise (or just view) the mapping that was previously created. Instead, I have to do this funky workaround where I re-import a file that has the same name as the file that was previously loaded only for the purpose of viewing the mappings. This seems silly to me; hoping someone has a better solution.

Thanks!
Josh

@jbrass

I think the issue is using private files - these expire after 48 hours. Files also don't get copied when the model is copied

you can change the setting of the initial upload that will help

https://help.anaplan.com/anapedia/Content/Import_and_Export/Import_Data_into_Models/Overview_Private...

But, I agree, it would be useful to see the header/dummy data even if the actual file is unavailable

I hope that helps

David

@DavidSmith有方法查看小鬼吗ort's metadata when the file has become unavailable?

sadly, no...when the file is unavailable, you can't see any of the mappings or the initial rows of the file.

The only thing you can try is to check the name of the source file (from the import sources tab). If you can find an existing file that "might" be what was used, load that

You may then be able to see some of the mappings

I hope that helps
