Adam Thier
What brought you to Anaplan?
\r\n
Fate! As I boarded a train in York, England, on my last day as CTO of Adaytum, a little voice in my head said, “you will be back”. I am excited to be able to continue my unfinished Planning journey with friends old and new!

\r\n

What most excites you about your new role at Anaplan?
\r\n
The people. The best team wins…and this team is All Stars!

\r\n

What’s the best career advice you ever received?
\r\n
Treat everyone like you wish you’d been treated when you were coming up.

\r\n

When you were a child/younger, what did you want to do when you grew up?
\r\n
A scientist. And I am.

\r\n

What do you like to do in your spare time?
\r\n
I love spending time with my family – either on a boat or embarrassing myself on a golf course. My family is everything to me.

\r\n

What are you binge-watching?
\r\n
Football – the American kind!

\r\n

What’s your favorite book?
\r\n
I’m an avid reader so that’s a hard question. Either “Stranger in a Strange Land” by Robert Heinlein or “Winter’s Tale” by Mark Helprin.
